Gatekeepers

 

I Chronicles 26:1,12  Why did God appoint some priests to be gatekeepers?  “The primary duty of the Levitical gatekeepers was to safeguard the sanctuary from trespass by unauthorized persons and from defilement by idolatrous practices.”  E.S.V. Study Bible notes.  The gatekeepers’ duties were just as important as the ministry of the priests inside.

 

A Call to Prayer

Psalms 84:10  “Keepers of the threshold held an important office.”  Theological Workbook of the Old Testament Vol. 2.  Pray that God would raise up gatekeepers, keepers of the threshold, those who would guard the home, church, ministries, and country from the invasion of worldly influences.  Satan is using his worldly philosophies to take down families, churches, ministries, and countries.  Who will stand guard?  Oh that God would raise up an army of intercessors to cry out against this Satanic intrusion.
