God ’s Blessing

 

2 Chronicles 17:3-6  God blessed King Jehoshaphat because “His heart was courageous in the ways of the Lord.” God will bless those who will take a courageous stand for the ways of God. Pray God will raise up an army of people who with courageous hearts will not compromise but stand tall for God and be willing to speak out against the encroachment of evil.

 

A Confederate Soldier’s Prayer

O God, I asked for strength that I might achieve; I was made weak that I might learn humbly to obey.

I asked for help that I might do greater things; I was given infirmity that I might do better things.

I asked for riches that I might be happy; I was given poverty that I might be wise.

I asked for power that I might have praise of men; I was given weakness that I might feel the need of God.

I asked for things that I might enjoy life; I was given life that I might enjoy all things.

I got nothing that I asked for but everything I hoped for.

Almost despite myself my unspoken prayers were answered.

I am among men most richly blessed.

 

This prayer is attributed to a confederate soldier just before the final battle of Richmond in which he died.

Into the Depths of God by Calvin Miller. This Book has blessed me, and is one of the few books that I have read twice. You will be challenged to enter into a deeper relationship with God. It is a must reading I know you will be blessed.
