A word from the Word - July

Where is My Focus?

2 Chron. 20:5-12 The King of Israel was faced with a great multitude coming against his kingdom, an impending disaster. What did he do?

         1.          He set his face to seek the Lord.

         2.         He cried out to God because God would hear         and save

3.         He fixed his eyes on God. When Peter took his eyes off of Jesus, he sank in the storm. Heb. 12:2 “fixing our eyes on Jesus”

A Prayer by Corrie ten Boom

“Lord, nevertheless, I am continually with you, although Your way is hidden from me. I know You uphold me with Your right hand. You lead me according to Your counsel, even when I see nothing but darkness. You make a path in the wilderness and cause me to reach the goal. Lord, I am ashamed that I was so defeated. Help me to realize Your sustaining presence is always there.”
